Protecting Carbon Market Consumers

Since day one, the Carbon Farming Foundation has been 100% committed to disrupting the carbon farming industry by providing landholders with fair and transparent carbon services that allow them to own and control their own projects.

We are a proud signatory of the Carbon Market Institute’s (CMI) Australian Carbon Industry Code of Conduct, which promotes best practice integrity, transparency and accountability in the carbon market

The Code protects and supports landholders by ensuring that signatories meet a set of rules and standards. Some of these include:

The CMI ensures signatories are compliant with the Code by investigating complaints from stakeholders and undertaking regular monitoring and auditing. Breaches of the Code can result in public listing of the breach on the Code website and suspension or removal of the Signatory. All breaches and sanctions are reported in the Code’s annual report.

Why did CFF become a signatory?

Integrity and transparency are our core values here at CFF, and we strive to ensure our clients and partners are heard, respected and provided with excellent service. We will never overstate the benefits of carbon farming – we believe in presenting unbiased facts and allowing landholders to decide for themselves.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation, with revenue circulating back into ecological restoration projects. We believe in doing what’s right for the ecosystem and right for the stewards of our precious land resources.

What to do if you have a concern or suggestion

We take stakeholder concerns very seriously. If you believe we may have breached the Code of Conduct in any way, we encourage you to contact us at feedback@carbonfarming.org.au. If for any reason, your issue is not dealt with to your satisfaction within 21 days, you can raise your concerns with the CMI Code Administrator, who will refer it to their Code Review Panel for investigation.

We’re always looking for ways to improve our services. If you have any suggestions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you.
